The Lean Healthcare White Belt training program is designed to provide healthcare professionals with a basic knowledge of Lean methodology and concepts.
Program Content & Structure
The Lean Healthcare White Belt certification program offers participants an introductory and informative experience in Lean thinking. It aims to foster an understanding of the relevance and applicability of Lean principles within the healthcare industry. By completing the program, individuals will gain the necessary skills to actively participate in and contribute to improvement projects. This program serves as an initial step in acquiring knowledge about Lean and its significance in healthcare. Moreover, it equips participants with the ability to identify processes and activities that add value and deliver quality care to patients, as well as those that are wasteful and contribute to inefficiency and dissatisfaction. This program is aimed at health professionals starting their Lean journey including Administrative Assistants, Quality Administrators, Research/Business Analysts, Public Health Dieticians/Nutritionists, Health Policy Specialists, Registered Nurses and Physicians from organizations across the health sector including hospitals, health authorities, mental health and addictions, youth services, long term care, public and community health.

Annette Sonneveld
Annette Sonneveld has over 35 years experience at various public health units across Ontario including Kent Chatham, Middlesex London, North York and Toronto Public Health. She has extensive knowledge and experience managing complex assignments; leading and directing teams; implementing quality improvement and performance management projects and facilitating training. Assessment
This is a non-exam-based program. Participants are assessed based on completion and full participation. Upon successful completion participant will receive Lean White Belt certificate from Leading Edge Group. Successfully completed participants can also receive a certificate from Ontario Tech University (an additional fee will apply)
This program can be delivered through self-paced e-Learning or instructor-led (for groups of participants).
