Training Programs
Lean and Operational Excellence Training for Canadian Organizations
Belt certifications, short courses, and eLearning for healthcare, local government, and private sector teams. Built by practitioners. Delivered across Canada.
Our Approach
Training Built Around Real Work
Leading Edge Associates delivers Lean and operational excellence training to professionals in healthcare, local government, and private sector organizations across Canada. Programs range from awareness-level introductions to advanced Black Belt certifications, with delivery options in eLearning, live virtual, and in-person formats.
Every certification program includes application to an actual improvement project in the participant's own organization, so learning translates directly into measurable outcomes. Curricula are developed by practitioners with frontline improvement experience in Canadian hospitals, municipalities, and public sector agencies.
Programs at the Green Belt level and above qualify for funding through the Canada Job Grant and provincial workforce development programs, significantly reducing the net cost to employers.

Funding Available
Canada Job Grant and Provincial Programs
Most programs at the Yellow Belt level and above qualify for Canada Job Grant funding, which can cover up to two-thirds of direct training costs for eligible employers. Provincial equivalents such as Ontario's Apprenticeship and other workforce development streams may also apply depending on organization type and sector.

Common Questions

Yes. Group enrollment is available for all programs. For teams of six or more, in-person delivery at your facility is often more cost-effective than individual open enrollment. Contact us for a group quote.
Participants select a real improvement opportunity within their own organization. LEA coaches review the scope before the program begins to confirm it is appropriately sized. Projects must produce measurable outcomes, such as reduced wait times, cost savings, or quality improvements, which are documented and submitted as part of the final assessment.
All belt completions receive a Leading Edge Associates certificate. Participants who complete an Ontario Tech University co-certification option receive a university-issued certificate as well. Black Belt graduates who pursue the Australasian Leadership Academy pathway receive a postgraduate diploma.
Most programs at Yellow Belt level and above qualify. Eligibility depends on employer type, province, and program duration. Contact us before enrolling and we will confirm whether your organization and program qualify, and assist with the application if needed.
