The Lean Healthcare Green Belt is a substantial, project-based program for professionals who are taking on a leadership role in improvement. The program covers core and applied Lean tools and techniques alongside change management, demand analysis, and value stream mapping at an organizational level. Participants complete a real work-based improvement project with measurable outcomes.
This is the level where improvement capability becomes a professional differentiator. Healthcare Green Belts lead projects, facilitate workshops, coach colleagues, and contribute directly to accreditation, quality improvement planning, and performance accountability.

Lean thinking, an overview of Six Sigma, the case for quality, access, and safety in Canadian healthcare, and the eight wastes in clinical and administrative workflows.
Data, Gemba, and Value Stream Mapping
Types of healthcare data, time-based metrics, Gemba walks, and building and analyzing current- and future-state value stream maps.
Improvement Tools in Practice
PDCA, A3, Kaizen events, 6S, standard work, visual management, mistake-proofing, DMAIC, FMEA, Kanban, and JIT applied in healthcare settings.
Leading Change, Sustaining, and Your Project
Change management, stakeholder engagement, sustainment and control planning, and leading a Green Belt project from charter to final report.
